About Us

MINDFULNESS COUNSELING SERVICES OF NY

Our team of experienced therapists is committed to helping you navigate life’s challenges with care, insight, and respect.

What makes our approach to therapy unique is the way we blend clinical excellence with a deeply human, relational experience.

We don’t just treat symptoms; we understand the whole person, their environment, their history, and the systems they move through.

Our work is grounded in evidence‑based practices, but delivered with warmth, cultural humility, and genuine connection.

A few pillars that define our approach:

Relational depth:

  • We believe healing happens in safe, attuned relationships. Our therapists show up with presence, curiosity, and respect, creating a space where clients feel seen and understood.

Culturally responsive care:

  • We honor identity, lived experience, and the unique contexts that shape each person’s story. Our clinicians approach every client with cultural awareness and a commitment to equity.

Integrated, whole‑person treatment:

  • We look beyond the immediate problem and consider emotional, relational, physical, and environmental factors. Our approach supports long‑term growth, not just short‑term relief.

Collaborative and empowering:

  • Clients are active partners in the process. We help them build insight, strengthen skills, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for them.

Warm professionalism:

  • We maintain high clinical standards while offering a compassionate, grounded presence. Clients experience both structure and genuine care.

Our practice combines strong clinical training with a deeply human approach, thoughtful, intentional, and tailored to each individual.

Audrey Bowman, LMSW
Licensed Master's Social Worker
Psychotherapist

Hi, I'm Audrey. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic process that provides clients with a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment to navigate life’s challenges. My method is rooted in the Systems Theory approach, which looks at core relationships and how they impact our view of ourselves in relation to others. I believe that the way we think affects our actions and behaviors, which in turn affects our relationships. I also practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy.

I have worked in a variety of settings, including counseling victims of domestic violence, substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I have experience running groups, couples therapy, and parent training. I have also worked with children and families who are struggling with family issues and special needs, and have assisted in the research of human trafficking.
