Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your personal history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. You’ll also have space to ask questions about the therapy process. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. Explore what to expect in therapy.
Most individual therapy sessions are approximately 50–60 minutes. Couples and family sessions may be longer depending on your needs and treatment plan. Learn more about session structure.
Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, stuck, experiencing relationship challenges, navigating life transitions, or seeking personal growth and greater emotional well‑being. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy — reaching out for support is a meaningful step toward positive change. Read more about whether therapy is right for you.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. This allows us to offer that time to another client who may be waiting for care, helps maintain consistent therapeutic progress, and supports the sustainability of our practice. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee. If you have questions about scheduling, please contact our office.
Getting started is simple. Contact our office by phone, email, or through our website to schedule a consultation or your first appointment. We will answer your questions, discuss your needs, verify insurance benefits if applicable, and help match you with the therapist who best fits your needs and goals.
